Summary
|
The bible teaches that we are lost in our sin. Our
responses should be a repentant life, confession of Christ's
lordship, and obedient baptism by immersion (we hold to the original
interpretation of text that baptism is from the word that indicates
immersion) receiving God's grace by putting faith in Christ as the savior
of man. None of that is sufficient in and of itself for the assurance of
salvation. As it is written 1 Peter 1:21 - Through him you believe in God,
who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope
are in God. So it is in and of God we find salvation, by the gift of His son
which brings us to John 3:16.
