Cincinnati Christian Church Email

Would you like to have a CCC email address? (Even if you have email now, a CCC address is also available to you - and this can be very helpful for friends wanting to email you.)

Details follow the list of current email addresses.

To see the church Email directory you must have the password. To get the password, send an email to Sara in the church office.

Please write the password down (we know - that's not very secure - but this isn't the biggest secret in the world) so you won't have to ask Sara for it over and over.

To see the address list enter the password in the E: box in the menu column and click the Email button.

Some of you familiar with the Internet know that spammers "fish" for email addresses on websites. Because we use a page-on-demand technology we thwart these efforts. There is no static webpage on some server for these spammers to find and steal the addresses.

I tried an address and it didn't work!

Those things happen on the Internet. Send a message to the Webmaster with the address you tried and the error you received and we'll look into it.

Would you like a CCC Email address?

Internet Access

Don't confuse having access to the Internet with having an email address.

To use a web browser or email program you must have access to the Internet. You may be signed up with MSN, AOL, Kiva or Blue Marble just to name some providers. They may (and probably do) provide you with an email address. You can keep that address and keep using it and still have a CCC email address (see below). Some providers may give you a cheaper rate if they don't have to provide you with email.

CCC Email

Why have a CCC address?

  • It's a statement to the world.
  • It makes remembering your address simpler for friends and family - no strange addresses like "lx765e@..."
  • If you continue to use, say, AOL, and then change to MSN your CCC address won't change. (You will need to send the Webmaster an email alerting him to the change.)
  • You get to be in the church email directory.
  • It's free!

If you want to use CCC for your email provider, you can do so at no charge (you must be a church member). We will provide you with free software to read your email.

If you want to keep your AOL, IU or MSN (or whatever) email account you can. Mail sent to your CCC account will be automatically forwarded to your other account.

How do I sign up?

Send an email to the Webmaster saying you want a CCC email address. Unless you specify otherwise the assumption will be you are keeping your commercial email account. Be sure to include your name (we can usually glean that from your email, but not always). That's all it takes!

We're just waiting to hear from you.

Listserv

A listserv is a way to send one message to many people without having to enter all their addresses (they have alwready been made members of the listserv). Generally, any member of a listserv can send a message while others (like all the spam messages we see) are blocked.

We have listserv capability. If you would like a listserv for your group (say, everyone on the Sound Team) just send a message to the Webmaster and we'll get together on the details.
